We wrote a real simple jQuery plugin to return the CSS selector for a jQuery object: jquery.getSelector.js
Why? Because sometimes you just need the selector as a string to store in a database to use it later.
Heres a quick demo of the plugin in action: http://jsfiddle.net/saarmstrong/bX56s/
